Elite Bomb Squad – This is EBS…Don’t Test (Vinyl)
Before Atoms Family, there was Elite Bomb Squad—Westbury, Long Island’s underground rap collective. Active from 1992 to 1994, EBS featured Cryptic One, Jest One, Tell, Saf, and DJ Screw, delivering dark, experimental beats and raw lyricism. Their unreleased demos, originally handed to Dr. Dre of Yo! MTV Raps, later resurfaced on YouTube, leading to this 2024 vinyl release by Chopped Herring Records. These tracks, recorded and mixed by Cryptic One at Da Crypt, capture the essence of early ’90s underground hip-hop in its rawest form. Limited quantities available—don’t test.
